THE TRUE ESSENCE OF BEING A WOMAN
Being a woman is not that easy, whether you are single or married, young or old. I would like to share with you on how to enhance our total well being. First, every woman wants to be good looking and feeling great. How? First, we must take care of our body by maintaining our health and appearance. Remember "Health is wealth". good health, both physical and mental, is a priceless possession that a woman should have - regardless of age, occupation or social standing.
Why is health essential? Our presence in this world depends on the capacity of our body and mind to bear the strains of everyday life. As a woman, we can fulfill different roles - a student, worker, daughter, wife, friend, etc - only as long as we have the physical and mental energy to handle the demands of these roles.
As human beings, we are not free from illness and disease. Our body and mind are not always in tiptop condition. It is but normal that one person falls ill at one point or another, but your ultimate goal is to improve more your health so you can live a long and happy life. But is it really possible to achieve this? What are the signs of good health.
A glowing skin, a positive outlook in life and the energy to do all the activities of the day are just few manifestations of good health. When you're eating properly, exercising regularly and getting adequate rest and sleep, surely you will achieve normal health. Your skin, nails and hair will look good as well as your mood will improve too. You feel totally alive and confident everyday.
If you feel tired easily after a short jog, being sleepy most of the time, getting shortness of breath after a climbing a few steps of stairs, feeling sad, depressed , insecure and vulnerable, or needing a cigarette or cup of coffee to revitalize, then you may not be healthy. These are a few signs that there is something wrong in your system.
So, to be healthy is to get your body into proper condition and storing enough energy for work and play. However, your aim should not focus on the physical health only. Physical health is only one aspect that we must aim, but also our mental and emotional wellness as well. As Samuel Johnson quotes, " Health is certainly more valuable because it is by health that money is earned..."
Second, we should also learn how to nurture our relationships with other people to be able to strengthen bonds with our families, friends, and significant others. Nurturing our beneficial habits such as managing stress and time, establishing a career, handling responsibilities at home and seeking spiritual contentment as well as learning our everyday lessons in life, all of these are just pieces of the puzzle that will make a woman complete.
Finally, as a woman, we must learn how to value ourselves, reach our potential so we can gain the love and respect that we deserve. Bear in mind that as we strive towards fulfillment, LIFE is a process of growth and renewal. Despite of the many troubles and difficulties that we will encounter - there are many blessings that we must thank our Creator who is the Giver of our lives....
